European Athletics Convention - Budapest
Representatives of Centresport Tours and the British Athletics Supporters Club attend the annual convention in Budapest. This is our opportunity to mix with the people that make the decisions and who shape the sport. The weekend finished with the Awards Dinner for Athletes of the year, with Phillips Idowu picking up the award in the Male category.

World Championships - Berlin
Generally considered to be one of the best championships ever. Berlin plays fine host to the Worlds. Our group very much enjoyed themselves, and spirit was high on the back of some fine British performances. A group of 45 departed for their add on tour of Leipzig, Dresden and Colditz Castle. An excellent tour with the hghlight being our British Colditz expert.

London Grand Prix - Crystal Palace
An excellent event in generally good weather with the main attraction for many being Usain Bolt. The Centresport Tours/British Athletics Supporters Club exceeds 850 over the two days.

The British Athletics supporters club held their annual dinner on the saturday evening of the world championship trials. BBC TV commentator Paul Dickenson was the guest speaker.

British Athletics Supporters Club confirm Saturday 11th July as the date for the 2009 Members Annual Dinner which will be held at the Great Barr Hotel in Birmingham. Guest of Honour will be BBC athletics commentator Paul Dickenson.

Our tour group for the World Cross Country Championships, including a selection of athletes families, departed from London Heathrow today, bound for Amman in Jordan. Many of the group will travel on to Petra and the Dead Sea as their tour extension on this trip.
